Product

What is ChromaParse?
ChromaParse is a professional chromatography PDF data extraction tool. It automatically recognizes PDF reports generated by major chromatography workstations — Waters Empower, Agilent ChemStation/OpenLab, Thermo Chromeleon, Shimadzu LabSolutions — and extracts retention times, peak areas, heights, and other structured data into Excel/CSV format.
Which chromatograph brands are supported?
Currently supported (production): - Waters Empower (2 / 3) - Agilent ChemStation, OpenLab CDS (2.x / 3.x) - Thermo Chromeleon (7.2 / 7.3) - Shimadzu LabSolutions (5.x / 6.x) In beta: Waters MassLynx, Thermo Xcalibur. Roadmap: PerkinElmer TotalChrom.

Billing

What are the limits of the Free plan?
Free plan offers 3 credits per day. Each credit processes 1 page. Single-page processing per upload — no batch upload on the free tier. Suitable for occasional use or product evaluation.
How does the credit system work?
1 credit = 1 PDF page. Subscription credits reset daily. Unused credits do not roll over. When daily quota is exhausted, you can purchase top-up credit packs (10 / 30 / 100 page emergency packs, or 1,000 / 3,000 page project packs at lower per-page cost).
What is your refund policy?
Subscription plans can be refunded within 7 days of purchase if fewer than 10% of the monthly credits have been consumed. Credit packs and project packs are non-refundable once activated. Contact [email protected] for refund requests.

Technical

What is the maximum PDF file size?
Cloud SaaS: up to 100 MB per upload, up to 200 pages per PDF. For larger files or batch jobs above 3,000 pages, consider the Migration pack or local deployment.
Does ChromaParse work with scanned PDFs?
Yes. Both text-based PDFs (preferred, higher accuracy) and scanned PDFs are supported. Scanned files are processed via integrated OCR with chromatography-specific layout recognition. Text-based reports typically achieve >99% accuracy; scanned reports >97%.
Is there an API?
REST API is available on Max and Team plans (Team includes API by default; Max users can request access). Webhook callbacks fire on batch completion. See /docs/api/ for details (coming soon).

Compliance & Security

Is ChromaParse GMP-compliant?
ChromaParse provides a complete source-trace feature — clicking any value in the Excel export jumps to the highlighted region in the original PDF — meeting ALCOA+ data integrity principles and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 audit trail requirements. For NMPA "Drug Records and Data Management Requirements" (2024), local deployment is recommended.
How is my uploaded data protected?
Files are transmitted over TLS 1.3 and stored encrypted at rest with AES-256. Uploaded PDFs and extracted data are auto-deleted after the retention period (default 7 days, configurable). Subscription tiers can opt out of model improvement; enterprise deployments keep all data on-premises.
Where is my data stored?
The cloud SaaS service hosts data in regional servers (China users: Aliyun cn-shanghai; international users: AWS ap-southeast-1). Cross-border transfer is disabled by default. For strict data residency or NMPA compliance, choose local on-premise deployment.
