Getting started

Quick start

Run a chromatography PDF through ChromaParse in 5 minutes — no install, browser login to Excel export.

Updated Jun 16, 2026

What you need

  • A chromatography PDF report (Waters Empower / Agilent OpenLab / Thermo Chromeleon / Shimadzu LabSolutions all work)
  • A ChromaParse account (free trial or an enterprise account)

The whole flow happens in your browser. No local install required. For on-premise enterprise deployment, see Enterprise.

Three-step flow

1. Upload the PDF

After logging in, click “New job” and drag the PDF in (or use the file picker). ChromaParse auto-detects the PDF type (layout + report family) and shows the matched template fingerprint.

If you see “Unrecognised layout”, that means this is a new report template. Free-trial users can request a human adaptation; enterprise users can route it through their private fingerprint library.

2. Review the mapping

ChromaParse shows a preview:

  • Peak table — retention time, area, height, area-%, sample name, etc.
  • Sample info — batch ID, method, injection volume, operator
  • Method header — column, mobile phase, detection wavelength

Every peak row has a back-link icon on the right; clicking it highlights the corresponding location in the source PDF. This is the key to data integrity: every value is machine-traceable to the PDF.

3. Export

Supported output formats:

  • Excel (.xlsx) — default, styled, with summaries
  • CSV — pure data
  • JSON — for programmatic consumption (LIMS / ELN integrations)
  • PDF + index — original PDF plus a machine-readable index file for audit archive

Enterprise additionally supports direct LIMS API integration, batch async processing, and private fingerprint library management.

Next

  • Audit trail — how value traceability works
  • FAQ — what about scanned PDFs, multilingual reports, custom templates?

Need deeper support?

Enterprise customers get IQ/OQ/PQ packs, private fingerprint libraries, API access, and on-prem deployment support.
